Meet Jaymi Black
Jaymi Black spent thirty-eight years building a career in banking before retirement opened the door to something that had long been stirring in her heart: a deeper walk with God and the story she knew she was meant to tell.
A devoted follower of Christ, Jaymi has made her faith the foundation of her daily life. She is actively involved in her local church, where she serves through Bible study leadership, women’s groups, Vacation Bible School, and wherever else she is needed. For Jaymi, serving others is not an obligation. It is a joy.
Above all else, Jaymi treasures family. She and her husband, Ken, make their home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where they enjoy exploring the waters of Puget Sound by boat, often with family and friends along for the adventure.
As a grandmother, Jaymi loves being fully present for school pickups, sleepovers, and cheering from the sidelines at her grandchildren’s activities. She also stays closely connected with her mother through daily phone calls that are as reliable as sunrise.
When she is not writing or serving, Jaymi enjoys crafts, puzzles, reading, movies, and spending time with the people she loves. Most evenings end with her black Labrador, Faith, curled up nearby and fully convinced she belongs in someone’s lap. My Gracious God is Jaymi’s first book.
